49 and Market Island Paradise Card Bon Voyage by Kim Ewins

49 and Market Island Paradise Card Bon Voyage

Hello again, Kim here to share another of my creations with you all, my 49 and Market Island Paradise Card Bon Voyage.

Today I have a card to show you. I have used some papers from the stunning 49 and Market ‘Island Paradise’ collection. I have also used some of the very pretty blooms from the 49 and Market Stargazers range. I have used the Sky Blue blooms.

Let me share with you…

49 and Market Island Paradise Card Bon Voyage

I have used a pre-folded card for the base of my card. Taking the 49 and Market Island Paradise-By the Sea paper. I cut two sections, one slightly smaller than the other. One to use as the main front of my card and the other to be placed underneath, to add layers. Taking the top front section and using a circle die I cut out a window to position a MFT Accessory Circle Shaker Treat pouch. My die cut circle was a little big for the pouch so I had to grab a larger die, cut out a circle then using a fiskar circle template I went in and traced a circle, then cut the middle section out with scissors, to create a ring, that I could use to hold my pouch in place. I also cut a few other die cut circles & rings to add to my card. I then machine stitched around the outside of the die cut piece, twice, just to add a little interest.

Next I stuck the ring for the pouch in place over the top of my die cut circle using Prima Finnabair Art Basics 3D Gloss Gel (this stuff sticks almost anything), then I stuck the MFT pouch in place, using the 3D Gloss Gel.

I really like the sailing boat quarter so I cut that down to fit my little pouch window (which to my mind reminded me of a porthole). Then I stuck the window or pouch section on top of the other piece of By the Sea paper, (blue side) and then I stuck this in place on my pre-folded card. Once all this had dried I added my embellishments, including the 49 and Market Stargazers in Sky Blue, a little gauze, some plastic shells and a real shell. I then grabbed some Nuvo Embellishment Mousse in Powder Blue and using my fingertip I rubbed the mousse over my sentiment. With the mousse leftover on my finger I swiped a little around the edge of the card.
