Melinda here again with my third and final 12 x 12 layout I created with the Carta Bella ‘Rock a Bye Baby Boy’ collection.
This layout is actually a scraplift of a layout created by the super talented Lisa Amiet for the February Sketch Challenge here at Anna’s Craft Cupboard. You can find her layout here. I saved a link to this layout during the Anna’s 11th Birthday Cyber Crop as I knew I wanted to replicate it at some point. I happened to come across it when searching for what to do with the rest of my papers and knew it would be perfect to create a title page for my little boy’s album.
I tore the edges of the matting papers (and once again cut segments out of the middle of these to use for cards).
I then tore up most of my remaining leftover papers, and the strips off the bottom of the paper that show the design on the reverse and arranged these diagonally across the paper similar to Lisa’s layout. I stamped some small stars with Blue distress ink, and sprayed the background with prima colour bloom spray mist before adhering everything to the page.
Along the left hand side of the photo I added some stickers, tags from the ephemera packs, and enamel shapes. I also added some wood veneer shapes from the Cocoa Vanilla ‘You Rock’ range.
The title was made using some older ‘October Afternoon’ stickers I had in my stash and enamel dots.
At the bottom right of the page I added a white doily from my stash, an elephant cut from the 3×4 journalling cards paper, a banner from the ephemera pack, and the chipboard boy stickers which are from the decorative brads pack.
Thank you again for looking, and to the wonderful Lisa for providing the inspiration for this layout. It looks great at the start of my little boy’s album.
