Cocoa Vanilla Midnight Layout This Beautiful Story
Hello, hello! It’s lovely to have you here on the Anna’s blog once again for my next share my Cocoa Vanilla Midnight Layout This Beautiful Story, with the beautiful Cocoa Vanilla Studio Midnight collection available HERE from Anna’s Craft Cupboard.
Today’s share is another 12×12 layout and is titled This Beautiful Story.
This photo has a very specific story I want to tell, namely, that my youngest decided this day that his baby cousin was no longer “boring” or just a “distraction from him” lol My youngest is (well, was!!) the youngest on my side of the family so when his baby cousin came onto the scene he was jealous and it was quiet obvious not sure of his position in the world. Especially because babies don’t “do” a lot and take all the attention from all the adults! This day he learnt that Emmett had learnt to roll which meant he was DOING something and all of a sudden his interest was piqued lol
I have started with that stunning woodgrain pattern paper “Shine Bright” as my background as it reads as a neutral and it (like everything in this collection!) is gorgeous! I didn’t do too much to my background but I did use some acrylic paint (in navy and black) with a dry 1″ish paint brush and brushed colour onto my background.
I already had the title in mind using some of the Title Die Cuts so once I knew where that was going it was just a matter of adding embellishments. I started with those beautiful florals I had cut from the Bloom and Grow patterned paper and layered in florals and a couple of leaves from the die cut ephemera. I have also added in one of the tab stickers from the Accessory Sticker Sheet.
I felt that the bottom of the page was missing something so I used some left overs of Inky Depths pattern paper and then I used one of the cut aparts from the Mixed Blessing paper to tear strips and add below my photo. I have used both sides of that paper for layers.
I created a tag to house my journalling using the Inky Depths pattern paper once again (this time the blue side) and punched a re-enforcer from the same pattern but used the floral side. I tucked this in behind my photo on the right hand side in between layers and added some journalling using a gold pen.
I thought I was done so added in lots of gold splatters (I remembered to cover my photo!!) and left to dry.
When I came back to take photo’s I felt that I need a little something to the top left of the page so I used the same patterned paper to created layers up the top and added in a cut apart label from the All The Things pattern paper to add the date. I also added in some more of the acrylic paint to the background paper.
I added in a floral from the Die Cut Ephemera and a couple of leaves with my very last step being more gold splatters.
I do have a process video for my Cocoa Vanilla Midnight Layout This Beautiful Story which you can watch below.
I do hope you enjoy!!
This page wraps up my shares for the week using the Cocoa Vanilla Studio Midnight collection and I hope you have enjoyed seeing them as much as I have loved creating them.
