I am loving the new Annabelle acrylic titles and the one I used on this layout is a beautiful script writing. These are easy to adhere simply by adding a little wet glue and add a 3D effect to your layout. My mother being English is an avid tea drinker and introduced all my children to tea from an early age, so with this photo I had to add tea cups in honour of my mother (and daughter who loves her the too).
I have used a cut file from the Silhouette Design store called stacking cups. I added some machine stitching to the tops of the cups and on the saucer. I also used an embossing folder on the pink paper to add some texture. The top cup I fussy cut leaves and roses from the Dress my Crafts Whispering Love cut a-parts. Lastly I added the Annabelle Let’s Celebrate title which contrasts wonderfully against the pink and blacks of the stacking cups.
I next added my photo using several coloured paper strips to mat it. I used foam tape so my photo stood out against the patterned base paper.
To link the stacking cups embellishment cluster to my photo I added a 3D butterfly. As my chosen base paper is heavily patterned you need to be careful not to over embellish or all elements risk getting lost visually.
Using the cut a-part sheet I added the script heart and some phrase sentiments. To finish my layout off I added a border of machine stitching to add texture to my layout.
The papers from Dress my Craft are high quality in weight and print. The ability to fussy cut so much from the papers is an added bonus.
Well that’s it from me today, thank you for stopping by and happy scrapping.
