Echo Park Fashionista Layout Shine with Step x Step by Tania Ridgwell

Echo Park Fashionista Layout Shine with Step x Step

A good morning to you all, Tania back with my last share for this month my Echo Park Fashionista Layout Shine with Step x Step tutorial.

Materials Used:

  • Echo Park Fashionista Collection
  • Colour Blast Artist Inks (Mermaid)
  • Kaisercraft Stencil
  • Texture Paste
  • Prima Flowers
  • Edge Distressing Tool
  • Paper Straws
  • Paintbrush

Here is my finished page ‘Shine’ …..

I chose a printed word piece of patterned paper for the base.  I tore off about about 1cm of each of the ends and then mounted it to white cardstock and rolled the edges down with my fingers.  Using the Colour Blast Mermaid Artist Ink I received in my kit I added a few drops to some texture paste until I was happy with the colour.  I just kept adding it drop by drop as they are quite strong colours, as you can probably see by the jar in the picture.

Next I used a stencil to apply the coloured texture paste to my background page, just randomly applying it.

This is my page once dry.

Next up I cut some different size patterned papers and distressed the edges so I could layer them up under my photo.  I adhered these to the centre of the background page.

I added some different size paper straws from my stash tucking them under the layered patterned papers.

I then added some more splashes of the Colour Blast Artist Ink using a small paintbrush.

To finish off the page I added lots of coordinating Die Cuts,  gorgeous Prima Flowers and even some enamel dots.  Finally I flicked some black mist across the page, make sure you cover your photo  because if you are anything like me you will get colour on your photo and then have to find another, I learnt the hard way lol…….

Here are some close ups of the finished page!
