Step by Step – Memorabilia envelope by Fran Tynan

Step by Step – Memorabilia envelope by Fran Tynan

Fran wanted to add this keepsake to her page so she shows you here, how to make this memorabilia envelope using Pink Paislee Amber Road papers.

Materials List:

  • Pink Paislee Amber Road – Harvest Hayride, Apple Cider & Postcards paper
  • Kaisercraft brads
  • Farmer’s Market Twine
  • Basic Grey June Bug chipboard alphabet
  • Collections Flexi sander

Step 1: Take your paper that you want to make your envelope out of – I’ve chosen ‘Harvest Hayride’.  Place your memorabilia on it so you can measure the right size envelope for it by folding the paper around it.

Step 2: Mark with a pen where you want to cut the paper to make the envelope, mark from the sides to the fold, then cut (as shown).

Step 3: Fold the edges in and adhere.

Step 4: Cut out 2 small circles from the same paper as the envelope and sand the edges. (I used a Collections flexi sander).
Adhere them to the envelope flaps with a brad (I’ve used Kaisercraft ones).

Step 5: Adhere one end of the envelope closed and place your memorabilia inside. Take some Farmer’s Market twine and wind it around both circles as shown, to hold it closed.

Step 6: Take a piece of “Apple Cider” paper as your background. Cut another piece of the same paper, round the corners and adhere to the page as shown, using the reverse side of the paper.

Step 7: Adhere your envelope to the page.

Step 8: Embellish as desired – I’ve used a journaling square cut from a piece of the same Pink Paislee range (“postcards”), as well as Basic Grey June Bug chipboard alphas.

All done.
