Kaisercraft Enchanted layout Love Cake
Hello…hello Kim here with you today to share my Kaisercraft Enchanted layout Love Cake.
This is my first layout created using the Kaisercraft Enchanted Range.
This collection is totally magical. For my first layout using this range I have kept the design quite simple, with minimal mixed media, lots of fussy cutting and of course a few layers!
Here let me show you my layout….
To create my layout I took the sheet of 12″x12″ Kaisercraft Enchanted paper – Imagine to use as my base. Next I trimmed my photo down and stuck cardboard to the back. I then grabbed the Kaisercraft Enchanted 6″x 6″ paper pad and found the same paper and trimmed that down in size to matt my photo. I stuck another piece of cardboard (old craft supply box, cut to size) to the back of my now matted photo. This gives you height and different levels to stuck embellishments to.
I then set about fussy cutting lots of flowers, leaves and elements from the Kaisercraft Enchanted Paper – Starry-Eyed, from the sheet of 12″x 12″ and also one of the smaller sheets of Starry-Eyed in the Kaisercraft Enchanted 6″x 6″ pad. This gave me lots of Kaisercraft goodness to work with. I then arranged my fussy cut elements and stuck them in place once I was happy. I then stuck the lace down under the lower edge of my matted photo and added some blooms from Prima Marketing and a couple from 49 and Market. To create the flower buds in the peachy pink I actually had a large flower and the took each petal off and rolled it adding a touch of glue to it to hold its shape.
I then took a few elements from a Kaisercraft Wooden Flourish pack and applied some gold ink to them and stuck them in place. Using a little white acrylic paint and a touch of extra water (mixed well,) I splattered a little paint on my layout, making sure to cover my photo. Next I stuck a few Prima Marketing Art Ingredients Art Stones – White at random.
I then stuck a few plastic leaves to my layout, (these actually were on this wedding cake). I thought it would by a nice little touch! I also then decided to swipe a little gold ink around my photo, the photo matt and to the outer edge of my base paper.
The final thing added to my layout was my little title. I took one of the Kaisercraft Wooden Flourish sentiments, which read ‘Love Life’ and I trimmed the lower section off, leaving me with the word ‘Love’, I added gold ink to this and stuck it in place and then using Kaisercraft alpha’s I added the word ‘Cake’.
I totally loved putting this layout together using the gorgeous ‘Enchanted’ Paper Range from Kaisercraft. And I love how this page turned out!!!
I shall be back soon to share another creation using this beautiful range from Kaisercraft.
