Kaisercraft Mountain Air Layout First Fish
Hello all, Kim here to share with you my Kaisercraft Mountain Air Layout First Fish. This range is perfect for scrapping either the males in your life or the outdoors!
Here is my 2nd layout using this collection.
First Fish, (even though it’s so tiny you have to squint to see it & yes they did throw it back!)
To create this layout, I decided to go with a few base layers. I took the Kaisercraft Mountain Air paper – Brave, next I grabbed the Kaisercraft Mountain Air Tree Trunks paper & I trimmed 3cm from adjoining sides. Then I went in and cut out the centre of the Tree Trunks paper, as I wanted to back/matt my photo using the same paper. I measured roughly 4.5 cm in from all 4 sides and using my trimmer cut out the centre. ( For some strange reason I totally love the fish design on this paper!)
Next I took the Kaisercraft Mountain Air Rugged paper, measured in 5cm from 2 adjoining sides and trimmed. Using my scissors I distressed the edges of my trimmed papers. From the section I cut out of the Tree Trunks paper I cut a piece measuring 13cm x 13cm to use as a matt for my photo which measured close to 10.5cm x 10.5cm. Next using my sewing machine & white topstitch thread I sewed around my photo, the matt, the Rugged and the Tree Trunks papers. I then matted my photo, adding cardboard between my layers for height. I then stuck this in place. Next, taking some Lindy’s Gang, Magical Shaker in Cathedral Pines Green & some water, I made up a little wash to add to my background. Using a soft paint brush, I went in on the Rugged paper, I also added a little to my photo matt. While I was at it I took a couple of Kaisercraft Mountain Air Collectables (pine trees) and also put my made up wash on these, just to make them a little darker in colour.
Once my background was dry I arranged my base layers & stuck them in place using double-sided tape. Next I added some of the Kaisercraft Mountain Air Collectables around my layout, using some also in my title & I splattered a little black ink around….but not too much! Lastly to tie in the black I used in my title, I decided to run a couple of lines of black machine stitching around the Kaisercraft Mountain Air Brave (bottom) layer.
I had a lot of creative fun putting this layout together. Sometimes it’s a little hard scrapping younger teenage boys. I do hope I have inspired you to scrap the boys in your life!
