Kim here again with you today to share my 3rd layout created using the stunning Darcelle Collection from Prima!
This collection from Prima has a selection of rich colours, but also throws in a few neutrals to cover every taste.
For my layout today I chose the beautiful paper – Born to Make History.
Let me show you my layout….. 2 Beautiful
As I stated above I used the Prima Darcelle paper – Born To Make History for the base of my layout, such a gorgeous design on this paper! Then I took a Ranger Stencil and some Tonic Studio Expanding Mousse in Worn Linen and using a spatula applied it to my page. Using a heat tool I then dried the mousse, (you do need a heat gun/tool for this mousse.)
Next I took a chipboard piece and painted this using Prima Finnibair Heavy Gesso in white, and let it dry. Once dry I positioned this in place and glued it down. I then took my photo and added some cardboard to the back of it and then stick it in place.
I then took the Prima Darcelle paper – Walking Alone and fussy cut some of the rose clusters, ensuring to keep some of the leaves and stems. I selected my flowers from the Prima flower packs and set about arranging the elements around my photo, once happy with placement I glued them in place. I also managed to find , just a touch of lace and added that to my page.
While thinking about my page title I noticed the number ‘2’ piece in the Prima Darcelle Ephemera Pkt and also the word ‘Beautiful’ from the Prima Darcelle – Puffy Stickers and I thought it was perfect, so I added these to my layout. I also added a couple of other elements from both these packs.
Next I decided to add some Prima Marketing Art Ingredients – Art Stones and some Prima Darcelle – Say It In Crystals around my layout.
If you look closely, you can see that I have depth of colour around my photo. Now, to create this I simply used a paintbrush, water and (for this project, I have used some glimmermist I have had forever.)
I added some glimmermist to a paint palette, then added some water. Using a paint brush I then went in and added colour around my photo and stencil work. A great way to add depth of colour.
Lastly I decided to add this Prima paperclip. I just stuck it down with a touch of glue. Then I added some splatters of watered down white paint and also some glimmermist splatters.
The Prima Darcelle Collection is quite simply, stunning! Such gorgeous Colours
I hope you have enjoyed reading about my layout and I hope that you have been inspired?
Maybe you might like to give my colour depth technique a go?
