Hello again, Kim here with you to share with you all my 4th layout created using the gorgeous Prima Darcelle Collection!
The beauty of this collection is the rich colours and the unmistakable Prima quality.
Let me share with you my layout, Glow.
For my layout I started by looking through my photo’s and I found this one of my daughter, (from her Engagement photo shoot.) Then looking at the Prima Darcelle Puffy Stickers I spotted the word ‘Glow’ and that gave me direction for my layout.
I grabbed the Prima Darcelle paper -Just Wing It, then I added some background texture with a stencil and some Tonic Studio Nuvo Expanding Mousse. Using a heat tool I dried the mousse. Next I coloured my chipboard with some spray and let that dry. (The spray is actually some very old glimmermist I have had for years.)
Once my chipboard was dry I stuck that in place using glue.
Next, I cut a piece of white canvas slightly bigger than my photo and distressed the edges, I positioned this and stuck it in place. I then added some muslin.
With my photo I ran a single line of machine stitching around the outer edges and then stuck my photo in place, on top of the muslin, tucking the left hand side of the photo under the chipboard.
While my sewing machine was out I also stitched roughly 1cm in from the outer edge of my base paper.
I then found some of the Rose clusters from the Prima Darcelle Ephemera and trimmed off the white outer edge.
Then I fussy cut some gold flower elements from the sheet of Prima Darcelle paper – Biggest Steps Of Your Life.
I set about arranging my elements around my chipboard circle and photo, also tucking in just a little more muslin for softness. I then adding my title from the Prima Darcelle – Puffy Stickers.
Using some glimmermist, water and a paintbrush I slowly added some colour over the Nuvo Expanding Mousse. Once this was dry I then used some Prima Metallic Water paints and a paintbrush to add a touch of gold to my layout. I also splattered some of the gold paint and glimmermist around my layout. My final step was to use a gold gel pen, to add a drawn border either side of my stitched border on the layout, (not the photo.)
I have really enjoyed working with this stunning collection from Prima
The Prima Darcelle Collection is just gorgeous!
