Hello again dear friends of Anna’s!
Kim, here with you to share a layout I have created using the very gorgeous Prima Marketing Darcelle Collection.
This collection from Prima is stunning and fabulous for many applications.
My layout today features a family photo of all my children….yes all 8 of them! As they are getting older and heading off on their own, it is getting harder and harder to take precious photo’s.
Here let me show you my layout…..
To create this layout I started with the Prima Darcelle paper – Everything is Figureoutable, (may I add, I love the name of this paper!)
Now depending on the light this paper can seem quite dark blue, but in good natural lighting it is a bit lighter. To create my background I took a stencil and some Tonic Studio – Nuvo Embellishment Mousse in Old Navy and added to my page, then using the same stencil and Prima Finnabair Art Basics Heavy Gesso -White I added more contrasting detail.
I then allowed this to dry, naturally. My next step was to take some cardboard, cut slightly smaller than my photo and stick to the back of my photo. I stuck this in place on my paper.
I then took the sheet of Prima Darcelle paper – Walking Alone, and fussy cut two of the flourishes out and stuck these in place either side of my photo. Next I added some pieces of Darcelle Ephemera and flowers..
For my page title I decided to use the ‘Our Beautiful Life’ sentiment on the Prima Darcelle paper – The Biggest Steps of Your Life. I fussy cut this out, added cardboard to the back of it and stuck it in position. I then grabbed the Prima Darcelle – Puffy Stickers and added the ‘This’ over the top of the our. I also added a few other Puffy Stickers at random around my layout. Next I added a few Prima Darcelle – Say It In Crystals.
Now if you aren’t already aware, I am a big fan of lace so I found a few little pieces and tucked them around my layout.
Now, I really loved the blue feel of this page so I took some Navy Blue acrylic paint and a paint brush and added paint around my photo and elements, also to the edges of my page. I love how this made my photo stand out.
The final step with this layout was to add some splatters of white. I have used Prima Metallic Watercolor paints for this final step.
The Prima Darcelle Collection was a perfect range to use for scrapping this photo of my children.
The colours – not too soft and girlie for my mostly male crew!
What do you think?
Thank you for stopping by. I will be back to share more using the Prima Darcelle Collection very soon
Until next time
