Prima Moon Child Gift Tags
Hello all, Kim here to share with you my Prima Moon Child Gift Tags I have created using the simply stunning Prima Marketing Moon Child Collection.
Let me show you…..
To create the bases for the tags I used the Prima Marketing packaging as a template. I traced around the base template onto some thick cardboard and then carefully cut them out. I did intend to cut out the hanging section but later decided just to use a hole punch….
Once I had the bases cut I then stuck some of the Prima Marketing Moon Child ‘In Love With the Moon’ paper to the bases using glue, I have found the best way is to place liquid glue onto your base then using an old plastic gift card/credit card, spread the glue all over making sure to get right to edges and then place your tags on top of your paper and place something heavy on top to hold in place until dry. Once dry, cut your tags away from your paper.
I then added a bit of background interest with a stencil and some texture paste and I also inked around the sides of my tags with black distress ink and a blending tool.
I really wanted to add some machine stitching to these tags but had run out of thread, so I improvised. I still used my sewing machine, but without thread….so it just added the holes and then I took a gel pen and drew in the stitches. With this first one, as you can see I used black and with the other I used white.
I added in other elements like the Prima Marketing – Fabric Flowers – Cosmic Love , Prima Moon Child – Tulle Ribbon, Prima Moon Child – Metal trinkets – Crescents and some of the very pretty Artquest Prills in ‘I Cannot Tell a Lilac’.
Using a little Lindy’s Stamp Gang Magical Shaker in ‘Polka Purple’ and a water brush I darkened the edges of the section pictured above. Once this was dry I also blended some Tim Holtz Black Soot Distress Ink around the edges of this piece to make it blend in a little better to the background of the tag. I stuck a little lace down then added my sentiment piece, Prima – ‘Cosmic Love’ flowers, Prima Marketing Art Ingredients -Art Stones and some Artquest Prills in ‘Sweet Shoppe’.
To finish off both tags I threaded some of the Prima Moon Child – Tulle Ribbon through the top of each tag.
