Simple Stories Oh Happy Day Layout Easter Egg Hunt

Hey everyone and welcome back to the Anna’s blog for my final share using the Simple Stories Oh Happy Day collection!

Before I get totally carried away with that, I want to wish you all a very Happy Mother’s Day! However you celebrate with whomever you celebrate it I hope you have a lovely day!

Now, onto the layout!! I have seriously had so much fun with the bright colours and fun icons. My final share is another 12×12 layout called Easter Egg Hunt.

I started this page with the Love Much 12×12 pattern paper and my 2 4×6 photos. Also, I knew I wanted to use the “Easter Egg Hunt” Annabelle acrylic for my title. When I have 2 photos in different directions I have learnt the easiest way for me to scrap them is to mount them onto one mat and work with that as 1 piece. So I grabbed the No Probllama pattern paper and stuck down my photos and title as my starting point.

I didn’t love the pink right up next to the teal so I then mounted my photos onto a piece of the B side of the 2×2 Elements paper. I love the “neutral” wood grain and those beautiful florals!

With the biggest parts of the page already decided it was time to embellish already! Being another Easter page I (of course!) grabbed a bunny from the Easter 2019 Collection of Annabelle acrylics. A perfect home for him was right next to my title! I decided to embellish in a vertical line above and below the title so started incorporating different pieces.

I have used stickers from the Combo Sticker Sheet and the 4×6 Sticker Sheets. Also I’ve used some of the bits and pieces and 2 of the 2×2 squares from the 2×2 Elements paper. Fussy cutting some of those elements gives extra die cuts which is so fun! One is the floral camera, which you can see I have fussy cut and the other is the journalling spot. With the rainbow border, because, rainbow!!

With all of the biggest embellishments on the page it was time to add in some sprinkley bits! I have used more stickers from the 4×6 stickers and also enamel dots. White and black mist for my final touch and I just sprinkled right along that vertical line I had embellished on!

Another page means, of course, another process video! Again, I have a croaky voice so thank you for bearing with me! I do hope you enjoy!
