Simple Stories Oh Happy Day Layout Hello 9
Hello once again and welcome to the Anna’s blog! Melinda here with you again today with another share, my Simple Stories Oh Happy Day Layout Hello 9, using the Simple Stories Oh Happy Day collection. I have another 12×12 page called Hello 9 and features photos of my big boy on his birthday!
I wanted this layout to scream fun so I picked the Oh Hello 12×12 paper for my back ground. The B side with all those fun rainbow circles did just that! I then went about cutting a big 9 with the Wild and Free 12×12 paper. You can find all of these papers plus the Combo Sticker Sheet in the Collection Kit! My Cameo did the cutting but this could easily be done by hand cutting or printing a giant 9 and fussy cutting.
Next I did some hand stitching around that 9 with white embroidery thread. My 9 was going to be a main feature of my page. I wasn’t sure it was going to be a part of my title yet so I worked out placement of that and my 2 photos.
Of course I had to add some mixed media but I didn’t want to go crazy! I grabbed some grey and white acrylic paint, mixed those together with a little water and did a colour wash around the main elements of my page. And, of course, added in splatters!
I wanted to feature the photo of my boy with the balloon over his face so I added 2 layers of paper behind that. I have used the No Probllama and the It’s Coffee O’Clock 12×12 papers and distressed the edges.
From here it was time to start embellishing and come up with my title. I chose the Hello piece from the Chipboard Stickers to complete my title. I’ve layered this over the bottom of my photos and the big 9.
Another piece from the Chipboard stickers and a couple of pieces from the Combo Sticker Sheet. I used a llama!
I wanted a bit more colour around and to the top of my photos. Using the It’s Coffee O’Clock and No Probllama papers I created 2 tags. And for some colour variation I used a tiny bit of the branding strip from Love Much. Between the llama and the tag I had 2 points of a triangle of yellow so I added a circle sticker from the 4×6 stickers to complete that.
Adding my journalling under my photos, some black & white twine and some enamel dots and this page is done! Once again, I do have another process video which you can watch below!
